"Knees up!" Mattel's new Barbie campaign

Toymaker Mattel has jumped into the worldwide conversation about feminism with a new ad for Barbie called "Imagine the Possibilities." It follows five kids as they let their imaginations run wild, and captures hidden camera footage of adults' reactions and responses.
Mattel has taken a lot of flack in recent years for portraying their name-making "everywoman" as a stereotypical (and disproportionately thin) white woman. So this is a great marketing attempt to remind young girls (and the parents who buy them toys) that Mattel wants them to be anything they want to be.. even if Barbie is still thin, white, and blonde.
